This Roederer NV is a new-format non-vintage that designates the year of the 244rd harvest which was 2019. It is comprised of wine from 2019 (59%), plus reserve wine (31%) from 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 plus 10% from large oak barrel reserves going back to 2009.

Collection has all its warmth and generosity thanks to the perfect ripeness of the fruit harvested in the 2019 vintage. Medium to full-bodied, pillowy and textural, complex and expressive, it's dense and structured, with bright acids. The 243 was also bottled with a bit less sugar than the norm, which results in lower atmospheres of pressure in the bottle and silkier texture. Flavors of walnuts, gingerbread, pear, nectarine, dried lemon, lime, minerals, brioche, and green apples with nuances of caramel caress the harmonious palate. The finish is energetic and fresh. A good match with monkfish, shellfish and, of course, oysters.
